#ExistInterpData>Hepatitis C Virus Antibody is performed using chemiluminescent immunoassay.
Anti-HCV Signal Cutoff (S/C) Ratios (CIA): Less than 1.0 .......... Negative 1.0 to 8.0................. Low Positive Greater than 8.0 ..... High Positive
ARUP intends use of this assay for clinical diagnosis. This assay should not be used for blood donor screening, associated re-entry protocols, or for screening Human Cell, Tissues and Cellular and Tissue-Based Products (HCT/P).

| Note: |
If HCV Ab screen is Low Positive (s/c = 1.00 to 8.00), then anti-HCV recombinant immunoblot (RIBA) will be added. For high-positive anti-HCV screening results, ARUP recommends collecting a new specimen and testing for hepatitis C RNA by PCR or bDNA.
