Unacceptable Conditions:  Specimens will be rejected if needle is sent with specimen. Frozen specimens. Any fluid other than synovial or bile will be rejected. Synovial or bile fluids should not be collected in powdered EDTA or powdered lithium heparin.

Stability (collection to initiation of testing):  Ambient: 4 hours; Refrigerated: 12 hours; Frozen: Unacceptable
