ARUP's Institute for Learning (IFL) Department functions in partnership with the University of Utah's Department of Pathology to offer credits for a broad range of continuing education opportunities, including lectures, conferences, professional publications, on-site training, and academic fellowships. More than 20 medical residents and fellows are trained here every year.
Department of
Pathology faculty, including over 70 nationally and internationally recognized MDs and PhDs, hold positions as ARUP's medical directors. These individuals are actively involved with research and teaching and can offer clients expert consultation in a wide variety of topics pertaining to laboratory medicine and management.
Professional organizations and clients may request ARUP staff and medical consultants in conjunction with local, regional, and national programs or as presenters for their conferences or monthly meetings.
ARUP staff and consultants have developed lectures and presentations in most disciplines of laboratory medicine and management, which are available for pathologists, clinicians, clinical laboratory scientists,
and laboratory-management personnel.

Into the Abyss–Achieving Remarkable Success in Challenging Conditions
Join us at ARUP Institute for Learning’s Sales Training Base Camp, where the adventure and ascent begin! At base camp you will receive the proper equipment to achieve remarkable success in challenging conditions, including basic sales skills, strategy development, best practices, trust and credibility building, service techniques, and a network of experienced “climbers.”
The Institute for Learning provides customer service training programs to assist clients with developing the customer-driven culture necessary for succeeding in the competitive laboratory industry. The training can be delivered as a comprehensive two-year curriculum or as individual courses designed to meet specific needs.
