SALT LAKE CITY, June 9, 2010—ARUP Laboratories, a leading national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory, today announced that it is a recipient of the Supplier Performance Award, presented by the Premier healthcare alliance™. This marks the first time a national reference laboratory has received the award.
Premier contracts with more than 800 suppliers, and ARUP Laboratories is one of 65 contracted suppliers to receive this year’s Performance Award. Winners are recognized for their outstanding management of Premier agreements and drive toward the mutual goal of providing clinical and financial value to the not-for-profit hospital members of the Premier alliance.
“We value our relationship with Premier and the opportunity to provide laboratory services to their members,” said Khosrow Shotorbani, ARUP Laboratories’ senior vice president over sales. “This award is a testament to our high-quality employees and our commitment to providing excellence and consistency in our services.”
Shotorbani, along with several other ARUP team members, accepted the award at the 2010 Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in Washington DC. The award ceremony was held at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center on Wednesday, June 9.
“The Performance Award honors Premier valued suppliers who strive for collaboration and performance excellence. We are honored to recognize these top performers,” said Premier Purchasing Partners President Mike Alkire.
Premier's Performance Award applauds the efforts of contracted suppliers to meet and exceed operational expectations. In selecting recipients, satisfaction, and performance data are collected and scored over four successive calendar quarters. Feedback is provided during regular supplier business-line reviews. Organizations scoring 80 percent or higher earn the Performance Award.
