ARUP and the University of Utah's Department of Pathology:
irreplicable success

The fall issue of the University of Utah's Health Science Report features an article about the 25-year collaboration between ARUP Laboratories and the University of Utah's Department of Pathology. According to the article, no other university in the United States has been able to duplicate ARUP's unique model of advancing medical science while operating a competitive reference lab.

An enterprise of the University of Utah and its Department of Pathology, ARUP is poised to see an even greater demand for its services, and its success is the university's success as well. According to the article, "80 percent of all diagnostic and treatment decisions are made on the basis of laboratory results, and a new understanding of the molecular underpinnings of disease is spurring development of more laboratory technology."
