Dr. Jensen is a professor and chair of the Department of Pathology at the University of Utah and chairman of the board at ARUP Laboratories. Dr. Jensen received a BS in biochemistry from the University of Georgia in Athens and an MD from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He completed his residency in anatomic pathology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He was an assistant and associate professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Winship Cancer Center at Emory University, where he also served as an associate medical director in the Clinical Immunology Laboratory. Dr. Jensen was the director of the Graduate Studies, Immunology, and Molecular Pathogenesis program at Emory University, as well as the director of experimental pathology and vice-chair in the Department of Pathology. He has 73 peer-reviewed publications and served as the associate editor for the Journal of Immunology from 1992 to 1999; he has also been a manuscript reviewer for several prominent journals.
