Gary L. Ellis, DDS

• Director, Head and Neck Pathology

Dr. Ellis is the director of head and neck pathology at ARUP and a professor of pathology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Previously, Dr. Ellis served the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, where he consulted for more than 24 years on thousands of cases pertaining to head and neck lesions. Dr. Ellis is board certified in oral and maxillofacial pathology and was the past director and past president of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, as well as past president of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. He is the co-author of Fascicle on Tumors of the Salivary Glands in the AFIP Atlas of Tumor Pathology.
